Week 1 Results

Today was my official weigh-in day.  While I have not eaten perfectly every day, I am quite impressed with my results!  I started my new journey, like many others, on January 1.  While every year I always want to lose weight it is typically due to vanity, not health.  After my health scares in 2013 (cancer scare, chest pain and "at risk" blood pressure) I finally came to the realization that I have to do something about my health so my kids don't lose me too soon.  Hence, my determination to make 2014 my healthiest year yet!

So back to my weigh in.  6 days down and I have lost 3.4 pounds.  WOOT WOOT!!   I am super psyched about this and hope I can keep up the momentum for the rest of the month. 

Yesterday I also decided that I am going to start working on clean eating.  I'm excited to see what other foods are out there that don't require removal from a box or plastic.

Bring on the new me, I'm so ready for her to shine!
